TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE

TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE:

A transmission control module (TCM) is an electronic mechanism that collects information and process signals to your car transmission in order to regulate the transmission gear shifting.

Without the TCM your transmission wouldn’t be able to shift gears effectively and consistently.

The TCM works closely with: engine, brake pedals position sensor, transmission fluid temperature sensor, turbine sensor, throttle position sensor.

SYMPTOMS OF A DAMAGED TCM:

Difficulties when trying to accelerate – delays
Difficulties in downshifting when slowing down or coming to a stop
Cannot shift out of Neutral
Delay when shifting from one gear to another

Specialist advice: This problems with your transmission control module should be treated very seriously as can result in not being able to shift properly which can cause accidents and injuries and on top of that driving with a faulty TCM can cause a total and irreversible damage of the gearbox.

CONTROL UNITS - REPLACING AND PROGRAMMING:

Most of the CONTROL UNITS used on today’s cars are having the chip locked or programmed only for that certain car. This feature doesn’t give the option of changing the control unit from one car to another fact that leads to high costs in buying and programming new control units in case a car is having a failure with this part of the car.

Our engineers are proud to say that they have the knowledge and high technological tools to fix and program Used Control Units from one car to another, keeping exactly the same functions as the car had before the replacement. This feature we can proudly guarantee that cannot be done not even by the Official Dealer.
